Stop Chrome from Discarding Tabs Automatically
Disable automatic tab discarding is a free Chrome extension developed by World_Languages. As the name suggests, this extension prevents Chrome from suspending tabs and reloading them when you switch to them.
With this extension installed, every tab you open is marked as "not auto discardable", which helps prevent Chrome from killing tabs unnecessarily. However, it's important to note that this is not a foolproof solution, and tabs may still get discarded if your system is low on memory.
The best part is that no configuration is required. Once you install the extension and keep it enabled, it will automatically mark every open tab as "not auto discardable".
To check if the extension is working, simply open a new tab and go to chrome://discards. You will notice that every row in the "auto discardable" column has a cross, indicating that the extension is successfully preventing tab discarding.
